TESTIFY (a new musical)

A invited developmental reading of Testify was held on August 30, 2026 at Nashville Jazz Workshop.

The original musical features music and lyrics by Ricky Braddy (American Idol, The Voice) and a book by Brooke Tansley (Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast) and Ricky Braddy.

Testify follows three gay men and a progressive Christian pastor who once imagined lives in music but found those paths altered by rejection, expectation, faith shift, and the pressure to hide parts of themselves. When their lives unexpectedly intersect through music, what begins as a collaboration develops into a brotherhood that changes what each believes is possible for himself - and what they might offer others together.

Inspired by and developed from their personal stories, Testify will feature Ricky Braddy, Ryan Greenawalt, Wil Merrell, and Ray Waters portraying versions of themselves.

GOLDEN YEARS

Golden Years is a heartwarming, feature-length documentary chronicling an all-senior citizen community theatre company as the seniors stage the beloved musical Peter Pan and find courage, confidence, friendship, and community along the way.

Golden Years is a documentary chronicling the Golden Years Theatre Company's production of Peter Pan. What makes this stage production special is that this musical is performed entirely by senior citizens. Yes, they will be flying!

The documentary captures the bravery, fun, vulnerability, and personal relationships that blossom from being bold enough to say yes to adventure in this late season of life.

Peter Pan is a musical about the magic in keeping connected to the child inside of us. The film will include the auditions, rehearsals, and performances alongside interviews, backstage and offstage moments, and the unexpected adventures among these newfound friends and castmates.

UNTITLED SCIENCE DOCUMENTARY SERIES

Developed with Warner Bros Discovery

Through a generous grant from the John Templeton Foundation and with our partners at Practical Magic - an award-winning production company and creative engineering studio - we embarked upon an unprecedented exploration of cave art up to 65,000 years old throughout Europe, expanding our understanding of early humans and our ancestral relatives, and captured it in a documentary series to be distributed to a global audience. Discoveries and rediscoveries of lost art were made on camera.

Acting & Performance

My career in arts and entertainment began onstage, and performing has taken me from Broadway to film and television, from musical theatre to sketch comedy and improv, and into rehearsal rooms where new work is created.

I've had the opportunity to originate roles, interpret beloved characters, collaborate with extraordinary artists, and perform for audiences of all sizes. Along the way, I've developed a particular love for work that combines compelling storytelling, music, humor, and humanity.

While my work has expanded to include writing, directing, producing, and arts leadership, performing remains part of my creative life. I'm always interested in opportunities to collaborate with artists making something meaningful, adventurous, or simply wonderful.

Comedy, Improv & Original Work

I spent three years performing and writing with the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, including work on house teams in sketch comedy, improv, and musical sketch.

My comedy work has taken me to festivals across the country, including San Francisco Sketchfest, the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, SketchfestNYC, and Austin's Out of Bounds Comedy Festival.

I've also participated in the development of 20+ plays and musicals through readings, workshops, and recordings, collaborating with artists including Kathleen Chalfant, Tom Pelphrey, Blake Edwards, George Furth, and Cady Huffman.

The process of developing new work remains one of my favorite parts of the business: finding the story, discovering the characters, and making something that didn't exist before.
